Let’s Go.

You

And Me.

Our smiles know.

We do, too, now.

The sea’s bellowing

Your lost heys. Mine, too, now.

The bench is filled with autumn

And a shy, bold winter’s speckles.

Pick up our bag of many things and walk.

Maybe the sea’ll join us, and breathe the heys.

  1. I’m so glad to see a new post from you! But now, I must confess my confusion. I just don’t “get” this one at all, and I suspect cross-cultural lack of understanding’s the cause. The word “heys” completely escapes me. “Hey!” is a word we use to get someone’s attention, Maybe that’s exactly what you mean. I’ll give it a few more reads over time and see if I can be less dense. 😉

On the other hand, I love this:

“The bench is filled with autumn

And a shy, bold winter’s speckles.”

    That’s a beautiful line.

    1. That’s precisely the “Hey” I meant. In plural, too. 😉

Winter’s approaching here as my little one is old enough to walk, but not old enough to go out on walks with me. That also means that she is old enough to reach up and jab at my keyboard when I type, but not old enough to write in a language we’d understand. Hence the delays in my posts. The mind wanders, full of her and my own little world. I try to write, Linda, but little of value comes out. With time, I’ll learn the patience to wait. Thank you for your patient presence.
